Chelsea is prepared to pay £42 million for Eden Hazard's return.

Chelsea has told Real Madrid that they are willing to pay £42 million for Eden Hazard's re-signing.

The Belgium international only recently left Stamford Bridge, with Los Blancos agreeing to a deal for over £130 million if all add-ons are met. 

However, during his time at the Bernabeu, the 30-year-old has battled injuries and a lack of form, making a contract extension beyond 2024 increasingly doubtful.

Chelsea was said to be interested in reuniting with the former star man earlier this month, assuming they could reach an agreement with Real. 

The European champions have notified the Spanish giants that they are willing to pay £42 million for the playmaker, according to El Nacional. 

While Florentino Perez has wanted a slightly higher amount from Chelsea, the rumor suggests that a deal might be completed next summer.
