Ex Barcelona player Ronaldo Nazario names his Ballon d'Or favourite

A champion of everything': Ronaldo Nazario names his Ballon d'Or favourite

"Without a doubt, my candidate to win the Ballon d'Or is Benzema. The best striker in the world. He has been bloody good for 10 years and has become the champion of everything. What do you think?" Ronaldo Nazario wrote on his Facebook page, pinning a joint pic of him and the Frenchman.

While Leo Messi is said to be the best-positioned candidate to claim the prize, Karim Benzema is now expected to be among the 5 finalists following his exceptional start to the 2021/22 campaign.

The Frenchman has scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists in just 10 appearances for Real Madrid this season. Besides, the 33-year-old has won the Nations League with France.
