"I won't ask for anything, because the coach makes the decisions and I have to accept them," Samuel Umtiti said in his interview with Mundo Deportivo.
"Ask for something? I will not do it and I think it should not be done. I must prove it in the field.
"The truth is that with everything I have done and with everything I am doing everyone has seen that I have trained hard, that I have changed a little.
"I'm looking forward to a chance to show that I'm okay."
Unfortunately, that chance is what Koeman has since refused to given Umtiti this season. The central defender has not played a single minute of football this term.
The last La Liga match Umtiti played for Barcelona was the game against Eibar last season. Barca kept a clean sheet.
