Kylian Mbappe has explained his decision to let Leo Messi take the penalty that he won during the match against RB Leipzig.
"It's normal. It's respect. There was a penalty, he took it and scored. He's the best player in the world. He comes to our team, it's a privilege that he comes to play with us," the Paris Saint-Germain forward responded.
These words definitely come as a surprise considering that Mbappe is known to be a big Cristiano Ronaldo fan as he idolized the Portuguese during his formative years.
Nevertheless, the Barcelona legend scored the penalty and put PSG 3-2 ahead, with the Parisians trailing 2-1 at a point during the match.
Later on, PSG won another penalty, and Messi returned the favour by letting Mbappe take it while being one goal off of a hat-trick. By the way, Kylian missed his penalty.
