Pedri agrees to a one-billion-euro release clause in his Barcelona contract.

Pedri a Barcelona player, has agreed to a contract extension that would keep him at the Camp Nou until 2026. 

Pedri's contract also has a one-billion-euro release clause, according to the LaLiga giants. 

On Thursday, Barcelona released a statement on their website announcing the news. 

"FC Barcelona and Pedro González 'Pedri' have agreed to extend his contract until June 30, 2026. The 1 billion euro release clause has been set.

The new contract binds the Canary Islands' player for the rest of the season and another four years. On Friday, October 15th, the official signing will take place." Part of Barcelona's statement read: 

In 2020, Pedri, an 18-year-old from Las Palmas, joined Barcelona.
