Timo Werner is ready to join Chelsea's arch-rivals Arsenal.

Following the club's £305 million Saudi ownership, Newcastle have been in constant touch with Chelsea forward Timo Werner's agency, according to Bild.

After Amanda Staveley, Mehrdad Ghodoussi, and the Saudi Public Investment Fund bought out Mike Ashley, the Magpies are now the wealthiest club in the world.

The club's new owners are aiming to bolster their lineup, and Werner has been listed as a possible target for the January transfer window.

Werner was signed by Chelsea for £48 million in June 2020. The 25-year-old, though, has been unable to reproduce the form he displayed at RB Leipzig.

Werner only scored six goals in his debut season with the club.

As a result, the Blues chose to re-sign Romelu Lukaku this summer for a club-record £97.5 million fee. Werner has dropped farther down the pecking order as a result of the move.

Newcastle are seeking to take advantage of the situation and believe they can entice Werner to the club by offering him the chance to be their main man.

Werner is allegedly open to leaving Stamford Bridge if he continues to be neglected.
