Try it on Sunday with Liverpool and see what happens – Scholes slam United performance vs Atalanta

Paul Scholes, a Manchester United legend, has issued a warning to the club ahead of Sunday's Premier League match against Liverpool.

Scholes was particularly upset with Manchester United's performance in the first half of their 3-2 Champions League victory over Atalanta on Wednesday.

After Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire had leveled the game for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, Cristiano Ronaldo's late shot won the game for the home side.

Atalanta headed into the halftime break with a two-goal lead, thanks to Mario Pasalic and Merih Demiral.

"Celebrating?" Scholes said to BT Sport when asked if the result was worth celebrating. You celebrate every victory, but the first half concerned me.

I'm thinking about Liverpool on Sunday while I watch that game...

If you do that against Manchester City or Liverpool, you'll be three or four goals behind at halftime and out of the game. You're not returning.

"Let's see what happens if we do that against Liverpool on Sunday."

"Imagine Jurgen Klopp at home, rubbing his hands together, watching that."
