UEFA vice-president: 'I'm afraid Messi will win Ballon d'Or

Juventus legend Zbigniew Boniek   who currently work as UEFA ice-president as well as President of Poland's football association, predicts Lionel Messi to win Ballon d'Or.

"Africa votes, America votes. And they know only Messi and Ronaldo there," he said of this year's award.

"I'm afraid that Messi, who won Copa America, will win Ballon d'Or.

"I think only three players deserve the award. Jorginho, Messi, Lewandowski. I believe the best one is Robert.

"The award should be given to a player who won something significant with his team.

"We all know that Messi is out of this world but Jorginho won everything.

"I support Lewandowski."

Lionel Messi with six awards has won the most Ballons d'Or in history and we wait to see if he adds the seventh to his collection.
