Aribo In Scottish Premiership Best 11, Gets Applause From Gerrard

Glasgow Rangers of Sctland midfielder, Joe Aribo is enjoying a double-dose of morale elevation, following his inclusion in the Scottish Premiership’s team of the week and accolades from his coach, Steven Gerrard, megasportsarena.com reports.

While The Gers’ gaffer, who himself is a legend from his playing days with Liverpool of England, is singing praises for the Super Eagles’ dazzler, Aribo would take special delight in seeing his name placed among the league’s best 11 for last weekend.

The report out of The Tartan Army Nation reveals that Aribo is in the best eleven for the Scottish Premiership, thanks to his goal and assist in a 4-2 win over Nigerian-born attacker, Joseph Hungbo’s Ross County at Ibrox Stadium.

During Saturday’s game, the left-footed midfielder registered three shots two on target, two key passes, two aerial duels, accurate in 86.7 percent of his passes, two interceptions, two clearances and two tackles in 90 minutes of action.

His efforts against Hungbo’s side have earned him applause from Gerrard, who admitted that he was impressed in what he saw from the former Charlton Athletic of England playmaker.

Gerrard was ecstatic, after Rangers opened up a four-point gap atop the Scottish log, heading into the third international break of the season , to goals from Aribo, Ryan Kent, Juninho Bacuna and an own goal after Hungbo’s early opener.

Apart from his crucial equalizer, Aribo also provided the assist for Rangers’ third goal when he teed up Bacuna in the 49th minute, much to the delight of Gerrard, who is now keeping an eye on the League Cup semi-final clash against Hibernian on November 21.

Gerrard was beaming with sheer delight after the game at his side’s home ground and went on to declare in a post-match chat with The Scotsman: “Bacuna has come in and put in a real top performance, Joe Aribo was at it.”
