Barcelona miss out on £50m-per-year sponsorship deal because of Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi left Barcelona months ago but the La Liga giants continue to feel the effects of the Argentine's departure.

According to Diario AS, the Catalans have now missed out on a massive £50 million-per-year sponsorship agreement with an Indian company.

The firm, said to be dedicated to 'online education', pulled out of the talks after Messi announced that he will not staying at Barca and will instead join Paris Saint-Germain.
