Benzema given 4 days off by France coach due to discomfort

Karim Benzema has been given four days off by Didier Deschamps and he did not train together with the group since leaving on international duty, RMC Sport explain.

Still, the Real Madrid striker is expected to be able to take part in France's upcoming game against Kazakhstan.

Marca claim that the reason why Benzema has been given rest is that he's been playing with discomfort in the last games with Real Madrid.

This term so far, the 33-year-old has played 15 matches for the Whites, recording an impressive 14 goals and eight assists. He started in all of Madrid's games but one.
