Watford of England’s coach, Claudio Ranieri is singing praises for The Hornets’ summer signing, Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure, who the Italian gaffer has reeled out several superlatives to rate his quality, megasportsarena.com reports.
In what should be one of the most elocuent technical valuations of any Nigerian player in reent time, ‘The Tinkerman’ submitted that Bonaventure is talented, skillfull, fast and always heads for goal, which stands him out in Watford’s squad.
The Hornets’ coach is now happy to have the former Zorya of Ukraine, Club Brugge of Belgium and FC Cologne of Germany attacker back into his team for this weekend’s English Premier League fixture versus Arsenal, after missing him to suspension last time out.
Bonaventure, who played a big part in Watford’s previous win against Everton, with a goal and two assists to his name, was not available to face The Saints, as he was serving a one-game ban due to accumulated bookings, but he is now back to battle The Gunners.
This is much to the delight of Ranieri, as Bonaventure has scored three goals and provided three assists in nine outings since landing in the EPL from the German Bundesliga, where he struggled for form last season on loan to Cologne from Brugge.
In Bonaventure’s absence, The Hornets failed to shine in The Hornets’ 1-0 loss to Southampton and Ranieri confessed that he missed Bonaventure during the game at Vicarage Road, which came in the wake of their stunning 5-2 victory over Everton.
Ranieri, who admitted it is a boost having Bonaventure back, added: “He’s a very good talented player. He’s fast, has good skill, he always goes straight to the goal.
“I love these kind of players and of course I missed him in the Southampton match, and then I think he can have a very good match against Arsenal.”
