Barcelona have offered the position of technical director to Blaugrana great Deco, Diari ARA report. However, Joan Laporta failed to convince the former midfielder.
As a reminder, the position has become vacant after the departure of Carles Planes. For now, Xavi and director of football Mateu Alemany will be responsible for Barca's transfers for the time being.
Deco played for Barcelona between 2004 and 2008, making 161 appearances and scoring 20 goals. He helped the Catalans win five trophies, including the 2005-06 Champions League.
