'Football always gives you a new chance': Xavi's words to Barca players after Benfica draw revealed

Barcelona failed to beat Benfica on Tuesday, putting their prospects of progressing to the knockout stages of the Champions League in jeopardy.

But Xavi gave an optimistic team talk to his players the morning after the game, in spite of a disappointing result.

"Does anyone here think we can't go to Munich and win?" he said, referring to the away clash against Bayern, as per AS.

"We depend on ourselves, football always gives you a new chance.

"Look around you, people are proud of you. This is to show you that while playing with this strength, we can compete with any team."

Barcelona need to bag all three points against Bayern to guarantee qualification to the last 16.

If they fail to beat Die Roten away, they'll depend on the result of the Benfica vs Dynamo clash.
