Kanchelskis told Sport-Express: "I think it was a smart decision on the part of the club.
"In England they laugh at Tottenham, the club has no titles. Conte is able to remedy this situation. Antonio can establish a rhythm in the team and lead it to the championship. Conte has already won the English championship, he has experience.
"This is a champion coach. Wherever he worked, he always won titles. I think that Tottenham was definitely not mistaken in appointing him to the post of head coach. I loved the way he worked at Chelsea and Inter. It seems to me that Londoners will win at least one title with him."
