"Obviously there was a lot of talk and speculation over the summer," Harry Kane told the Athletic when asked about his failed transfer to Man City.
"That is the first time it has really happened to me.
"But that is part and parcel of being a big player and I think I coped with it well."
Kane appeared to force a transfer to Man City in the summer.
The Citizens reportedly sent a £100m bid to Tottenham for their captain but it was rejected.
The striker ended up staying at Spurs. He has had a poor start to the season, scoring just once in 10 league games so far.
