The 24-year-old has only made one appearance this season in the League Cup, a big setback from what appeared to be his breakthrough season in 2020/21.
Henderson's pre-season was hampered with injuries and Covid which hit him so hard that he had to recover from its effects for almost two months.
In his absence, David de Gea has reestablished himself as United's No.1. Henderson has missed out on the latest England squad as well.
It's been reported that the keeper would push for a move if the situation remained the same until January.

Instead, an 18-month loan is mooted as an option, although it's not known if Henderson would accept it.
