Barca have assured Roberto's management team that they wish to extend his current deal.
However, Mundo Deportivo says Roberto's minders haven't heard from Barca for several weeks.
While still keen to stay, Roberto senses no decision will be made about resuming talks until Xavi is appointed as new coach.
"We are waiting for Barça, who already know our approach and the player's will to adapt to the club's economic circumstances," said agent Josep Maria Orobitg.
