Solskjaer's sacking 'approved by Joel Glazer', possible interim replacement named

Joel Glazer has approved the decision of the Man United board to part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Fabrizio Romano reports.

A mutual agreement is in place between the club and the manager after the 4-1 defeat at Watford.

Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher will take charge of the team on an interim basis if no permanent solution is found, the report adds.

After 12 Premier League games, United are 12 points behind league leaders Chelsea and six points adrift from the top four.
