"Do I support gay pride parades? No, of course. It’s not normal. In principle, there shouldn't be gay people. There are boys and girls, that's all," Dynamo Kiev striker Artem Besedin has said via YouTube.

"I have a son. I don't want him to grow up, seeing gay people.

"Here in Ukraine, there are few such people, but there are plenty of them in Europe. These gay clubs, LGBT flags, men holding hands. I can't stand this," the 25-year-old concluded.

Earlier, Barcelona voiced support for the first active footballer to come out as gay. Both Gerard Pique and Antoine Griezmann sent him words of encouragement as well.
