Xavi has indicated that the club veterans (Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets) will only play one match a week, as per RAC1's Gerard Romero.
If there are two games in a week, the three players will be replaced by Eric Garcia, Alejandro Balde and Nico respectively.
Xavi's intentions are clear: firstly, the players will always be physically well-prepared and less injury-prone; secondly, the squad rebuild will go a little smoother.
