Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel remains keen to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.
Kounde was a confirmed target for Tuchel last summer and was waiting in Paris on deadline day hoping for the two clubs to reach terms. However, Sevilla refused to drop their asking price.
Tuchel remains keen on Kounde and is pushing for Chelsea to try again next month.
Indeed, ESPN says Tuchel has long been a fan of the France international and tried to sign him for PSG when the defender was with Bordeaux.
Tuchel and Chelsea need to act with Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva and Toni Rudiger all off contract in June.
