Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is pushing the club to sign Luis Diaz in January.
The Porto attacker impressed Klopp when the two sides recently faced in the Champions League.
The German is going to be without Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in January due to the African Cup of Nations.
Marca says Klopp has put forward his suggestion to the club's hierarchy.
Diaz has a 80 million euros release clause but Liverpool would want to sign him for considerably cheaper.
