Messi equals Pele's record for official goals
Leo Messi has just scored in Paris Saint-Germain's home clash against Club Brugge, thus reaching 757 official career goals. The Argentine has now equalled the official goals tally of the legendary Pele, as per ESPN FC.
Previously, Messi beat such records as most goals for a single club (while at Barcelona) and most goals for a South American country, both of which belonged to Pele.
Still, Leo will need a few more goals to become the top goalscorer in history. The current record for official goals belongs to Josef Bican with 805, as per TalkSport. Cristiano Ronaldo, who is still active, stands at 801.
