Ndidi, Ejuke Receive Technical Tips For Better Form At Cup Of Nations

Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi and CSKA Moscow of Russia winger, Chidera Ejuke have both received strong technical tips on how to put up better performances at the Africa Cup of Nations, megasportsarena.com reports.

The tips that Ndidi and Ejuke would do well to hold unto firmly are coming from Super Eagles’ interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, who admitted that both players are very talented, but stressed that they need some additional factors to improve their performances.

While serving a strong hint that both Ndidi and Ejuke would be part of his final squad to next month’s continental soccer showpiece in Cameroon, the current technical director of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) added that he wants to see improvements among all his players.

The former defender, skipper and head coach of the Eagles added that he loves the skills Chidera displays when in action, which shows his high level of confidence, but reasoned further that the former SC Heerenveen of Netherlands star needs to play more with the team.

He went on to declare that Ndidi can become one of the best defensive midfielders in the world if the Leicester star does not hold back, as ‘Egu’ opined that the former Nath Boys of Lagos and Racing Genk of Belgium battler is not yet playing to his full potential.

“When I see Wilfred Ndidi in the midfield, not one hundred percent like Oliseh but I’ll say he’s on his way to becoming one of the best defensive midfield players in the world but he’s holding back as far as I’m concerned.

“He’s got a lot to still give, I’ve spoken to him one or two occasions, reason why he is holding back I don’t know. I think he can do better than what he’s doing. He’s got potential a lot,” Eguavoen told ATHLST.

The Eagles’ gaffer added: “Having followed football when I see Chidera Ejuke today I think that young man has got a lot of potential if properly used and if encouraged as well.”
