"Within a year, we will compete at the same level as Bayern and we will do everything to make that happen," Xavi promised Joan Laporta after the 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich, as per Diario AS' Javi Miguel.
Shortly after the full-time whistle, Xavi told the media that Barcelona aren't capable of competing with the biggest teams in Europe at the moment.
Ahead of the game, however, Laporta said he was 'confident' that Barca would reach the Champions League knockouts.
