Real Madrid Missed Out On Ferran Torres For Just 8m Euros
Spanish Capital based club Real Madrid is said to have previously made an attempt to sign Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres failed for just 8m Euros.
The Spain international is the subject of intense negotiations with Barcelona, which are willing to put €40m cash on the table for the attacker.
However, Torres was close to joining Real when coming through at Valencia, says Mundo Deportivo.
A young Torres even visited the Valdebebas training centre during negotiations.
At that time, his VCF contract carried a buyout clause of €8m.
Ultimately, Torres ended up staying with Valencia before being sold to City last year.
