According to the Independent, Real Madrid have 'approached' Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards.
Los Blancos are willing to offer him a similar position within their hierarchy.
Madrid president Florentino Perez is said to be impressed by Edwards' work at Anfield.
The paper also reveals that the 42-year-old has turned down Newcastle's approach.
Michael Edwards will leave his position at Liverpool at the end of the season, it has been confirmed by the club and Edwards himself.
