The centre-back has missed eight games after picking up a hamstring injury against Atalanta in early November.
Man United are scheduled to face Brighton on December 18 (KO 12:30 GMT). The game could be postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak at the United camp but not decision has been made at the time of writing.
