Ousmane Dembele is now prepared to depart from Barcelona in January, as per recent reports.
That should come as good news for the Blaugrana more than anything else for two main reasons:
1. Barcelona earn money
For Dembele to leave Barca this month, it means a club must pay the Blaugrana some fee to take him - be that PSG or Chelsea, we can only be careless.
For a player whose contract expires in less than 6 months time, that sounds like a bargain.
Barcelona has slapped a €20m price tag on Dembouz. But should be prepared to take less than that and run.
2. Barcelona saves money
The departure of Philippe Coutinho (albeit on loan) means that Dembele is now Barca's highest earner, raking in a jaw-dropping €17.3m per year. It's shocking he even wants that money increased.
Thus, with Dembele out the door, Barca gets to save that much money, which they could funnel into signing someone like Erling Haaland next summer.
