According to Sky Sports, Newcastle United are 'desperately' in the market to sign a new striker before facing Watford in the Premier League on January 15.
Divock Origi, Dominic Solanke and Chris Wood have been named as potential targets for the Magpies, who received a massive financial boost following Saudi investment.
However, they were shockingly knocked out of the FA Cup by League One side Cambridge United last week.
Newcastle are also fighting the relegation battle, finding themselves 19th in the league table.
So far, Eddie Howe has only signed Kieran Trippier for the club.
