Araujo rejects Barca's extension offer, unsatisfied with economic terms

Ronald Araujo has said no to Barcelona's first extension proposal, Marca (4 stars) claim.

The centre-back wants to continue at Camp Nou but he wasn't satisfied with the economic terms offered by the club. The parties will continue the talks.

As per previous reports, Araujo has better offers from the Premier League but his intention is to stay at Barca.

However, he wants a salary that would correspond to his role on the team. At the moment, he is one of the lowest-paid players in the squad.

This term so far, the Uruguayan has played 24 games for the Catalans, scoring two goals. Ronald's current deal runs until 2023.
