Catalan Giants Barcelona are said to be very confident of signing Chelsea Skipper Cesar Azpilicueta.
The Spanish defender's contract with Chelsea is set to expire at the end of this season.
Negotiations over an extension have not gone down well with the 32-year-old.
The Guardian says Azpilicueta is now excited to play under Xavi at Barcelona.
Chelsea are open to a one-year extension with an option for an extra year.
Barca are offering a better deal and as it stands Azpilicueta will be playing for the Blaugrana next season.
