Barca director drops major hint on Coutinho's future amid exit rumours

When leaving Camp Nou, Barcelona's director of football Mateu Alemany was asked about Philippe Coutinho's future.

"Everything is underway," Alemany told Jijantes FC.

During Ferran Torres' presentation at Barca, Alemany revealed that the club will try to sell part ways with players in January to lighten the wage bill. Coutinho is likely to be one of them, as per multiple reports.

Meanwhile, Diario Sport's Lluis Miguelsanz reports that the Brazilian has accepted to leave Barca this January. The 29-year-old assumes that he won't be getting much playing time this season, and his agents are working on finding him a new destination.

The Catalans are optimistic about their chances of offloading Phil. Most likely, it is going to be a short loan.
