According to the reliable Alfredo Martinez of Onda Cera, Chelsea are closing in on a permanent transfer for Ousmane Dembele before the deadline on January 31.
Dembele, whose public contract standoff with Barcelona has dominated headlines, is expected to leave Camp Nou before the winter window ends.
Chelsea are currently negotiating terms with Dembele, with some sources claiming they may have even reached an agreement.
The injury-prone 24-year-old has appeared just six times in La Liga this season. He ended 2020/21 with merely six goals in 30 league games.
