EFL 'under pressure' to investigate Liverpool after Covid-19 false-positive revelation

The EFL has been put under pressure to start an investigation over Liverpool’s alleged covid-19 outbreak that forced the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Arsenal to be postponed.

As per the Athletic, the EFL has received complaints from some clubs over the postponement after Klopp admitted that the majority of Liverpool players produced ‘false positives'.

Some clubs want to know exactly when Liverpool discovered this and whether they used the Covid-19 outbreak reports as a cover to get some more days off.

If Liverpool are found guilty of failing to play the game without just cause, they could face a severe punishment from the EFL.

The Reds could even be given a 0-3 loss in the first leg and a severe fine if found to have faked the Covid-19 outbreak.
