Mallorca reportedly unhappy with Xavi as he makes 'false' claim at press conference

Mallorca are unhappy with Xavi as he makes a wrong claim about their request to postpone the game against Barcelona, as per Marca.

The club deny that they have asked to postpone the clash.

"Mallorca have also requested it. Games have been suspended due to absences, we have to apply common sense. It's not a complaint, it's not an excuse, it's the reality," the Barca boss said at Saturday's press conference.

There are 18 positive Covid cases within the two squads ahead of the face-to-face encounter.

As a reminder, a league game can only be postponed if there are fewer than 5 first-team players available on a team. The remaining squad slots should be filled with youngsters.
