Manchester City has completed the signing of Rivers Plate Argentine striker Julian Alvarez.
The 22-year-old forward has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Premier League leaders until 2027.
The Citizens will reportedly pay a fee of around €17m (£14m) for the young Argentine.
However, City have added that Alvarez will be loaned back to River Plate and stay there until ‘at least the end of this season.’
Alvarez has made 96 appearances for River Plate in his career, scoring 36 goals and registering 25 assists.
