Naby Keita is the first Liverpool player who will take the flight back to Merseyside from the African Cup of Nations.
In a Round of 16 fixture, Guinea was unexpectedly defeated by Gambia 1-0.
Keita, who was arguably Guinea's best player in the group stage, was suspended for that game due to two yellow cards he picked up in the previous games.
As it turns out, his loss was damaging for his team as Gambia won their first game ever in the AFCON knockout stage.
As a result, Keita is re-joining Liverpool pretty soon and should be available for the FA Cup clash with Cardiff City on February 5.
Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are still in the competition. Senegal are facing Cape Verde on Tuesday, while Egypt take on Ivory Coast on Wednesday.
