Potential arrivals

Julian Alvarez: United are willing to pay River Plate Alavarez’s €20m release clause to sign him and the striker’s agent is going to fly to England to hold talks over a potential move, as per Argentine outlet TNT Sports.

Mauro Icardi: As per Italian outlet Calciomercato, United are eyeing a move for PSG striker Mauro Icardi if Edinson Cavani leaves in January.

Erling Haaland: Man United sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could’ve boosted their chances of signing Erling Haaland in the summer, claims MEN.

Charlie Cresswell: Man United are in a battle with Liverpool to sign Leeds United’s bright young centre-back Charlie Cresswell in the summer, claims The Sun.

Potential exits
Axel Tuanzebe: Napoli are very close to signing Tuanzebe on a six-month loan and will pay a €500,000 loan fee to United for it, claims Fabrizio Romano.

Anthony Martial: Martial is still looking to leave Old Trafford and Sevilla are closest to signing him on loan, as they continue negotiating with United on the terms – claims L’Equipe. Meanwhile, Barcelona have also been offered the chance to sign Martial.

Donny van de Beek: Bayern Munich have shown interest to sign Van de Beek in the winter transfer window and the Dutchman is open to the prospect of joining them, claims Spanish outlet El Nacional.

Edinson Cavani: Sevilla are also reportedly in the running to get Cavani, but Ralf Rangnick has already insisted that he won’t let the striker leave in January.

Ethan Laird: As per The Athletic, United are recalling Ethan Laird from his loan at Swansea City and will loan him to Bournemouth for the second half of the season.

Teden Mengi: The Red Devils are holding talks with Birmingham City over sending Mengi on a six-month loan at the Championship club, claims MEN.

Jesse Lingard: Despite flirting with a move to West Ham recently, Lingard still looks likely to leave as a free agent in the summer.
