Premier League set to bar players refusing Covid-19 vaccine
Premier League footballers who don't get the Covid-19 vaccine could be 'barred' from playing matches under a new rule, reports The Telegraph.
At present, elite sportsmen returning to the UK from abroad can break the 10-day self-isolation period to attend training or sporting events.
Now, those who are unjabbed will be stopped from doing so to prevent sports stars from being treated differently to the common public.
That means Premier League clubs that play in Europe would be unable to select unvaccinated players for games after returning to the country.
A government source told The Telegraph: "If you want to have special treatment, you’ve got to do your bit to keep others healthy and safe.
"Getting vaccinated isn’t only about your health but others."
