Sparta Rotterdam Celebrate Super Eagles Win Over Egypt, Light Their Stadium in Green and White

Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday evening, January 11, defeated Egypt 1-0 in their 2021 AFCON opener and  Sparta Rotterdam have however taken to social media to celebrate their goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and teammates,  They did so by lighting up their stadium in the colour of the Nigerian flag which is the green, white and green.

 Maduka Okoye was in goal for Nigeria on Tuesday night, January 11, as Kelechi Iheanacho's goal gave the Super Eagles a 1-0 win over Egypt in their first game at the ongoing AFCON in Cameroon.

The Dutch side however took to their official social media page to celebrate their goalkeeper Maduka Okoye for keeping a cleansheet against the Pharaohs and also wished him well. 

In celebrating the Super Eagles, Sparta Rotterdam decided to lit the Sparta Stadion Het Kasteel in the famous Green and white colours of Nigeria.

Maduka Okoye has been with Sparta Rotterdam since 2020 and recently the club sold him to Premier League side Watford, but he will be moving to England at the end of the season.
