Xavi confirms Ousmane Dembele's future at Barcelona

Speaking to the media about Ousmane Dembele's future, Xavi Hernandez said: "We can't wait for Ousmane.

"Either he renews the contract or the solution is to sell him.

"The outcome be found immediately. I don't consider sending him to the bench. He says he wants to stay but then he doesn't to renew."

On Thursday, Barcelona sporting director Mateu Alemany confirmed that they have decided to sell the Frenchman in the January transfer window after another breakdown in contract renewal talks.

Alemany said: "We want committed players and we have told him that he has to leave the club as soon as possible. We expect Ousmane to be sold before January 31."
