Vincent Aboubakar has in a pre-match interview stated that he is not so impressed with Salah.
Ahead of the game, Cameroon player Vincent Aboubakar gave his opinion on his opponent, Mohamed Salah.
He told RFI: "He doesn’t impress me much. I say it clearly because I’m an honest person & I have my way of seeing things.
"If he impressed me, I would say so.
He doesn’t impress me much. He’s a good player, he scores a lot but he doesn’t produce a lot of stuff in the game.
"Of course, he's doing good stuff in the Premier League because he's been in a team that's been there for years.
He's a good player but not at the level of some like Mbappé."
We're not quite sure what Aboubakar means here.
Scoring is the best form of 'producing' for your team and even aside from his goal, Salah has the second-most assists in the Premier League and he produces a lot of chances for his teammates.
In fact, it was Salah who created the winning goal for Egypt that took them to the semi-final!
We'll see tonight if the Eygptian King can silence Aboubakar and other such critics by leading his country to the final.
