Lunin dropped from matchday squad as he's reportedly not mentally ready to play amid war in Ukraine

Real Madrid have officially confirmed that Andriy Lunin will not travel with the rest of the squad for the match against Rayo Vallecano today. The reason is not specified.

However, Radio Marca report that the Ukrainian goalkeeper is "not in a good mental state" to play. He is thankful for the support he's received from his Madrid teammates, though.

Russian forces invaded Ukraine on February 24 in the morning. Lunin is a native of the Kharkiv Oblast where there has been active fighting in the past two days.
