"Reverter [Barca's resigned CEO] kidnapped Barcelona's philosophy. He was a man who was constantly in contact with Florentino," La Liga president Javier Tebas has told ABC.
"Laporta was enthusiastic about the CVC project for 25 or 30 days and when he received a call [from Reverter], everything collapsed with the agreement," Tebas added.
Florentino Perez is said to be interested in bringing Ferran Reverter to Real Madrid following the latter's resignation.
Reverter reportedly had a poor professional relationship with Joan Laporta and had disagreements on several important issues, which was the main reason behind his resignation.
As for the CVC deal that would secure Barcelona some extra transfer funds, the club are expected to sign it if they agree on certain amendments with La Liga.
