Xavi heaps praise on Dest after solid Valencia outing

"Sergino Dest is at a sensational level. When I arrived he wasn't so good and now he's great both with and without the ball," Xavi told reporters after the 4-1 away win against Valencia.

Back when Xavi only took over, Dest was being named as one of the likeliest players to leave Barcelona. The coach did not count on him.

However, the right-back was struggling with back pain at the time. It appears that Sergino has recovered from that and is gradually winning Xavi over.

The American has now started two league games in a row, although this might have not been the case if not for Dani Alves' suspension. But he did look decent against Valencia, and maybe the coach will rely on him more often going forward.
