Anthony Elanga has earned his first senior call-up to the Sweden side alongside Victor Lindelof, as confirmed by the official Manchester United website.
Elanga has been a force to reckon with this term, scoring twice in the Premier League and once in the Champions League so far.
The 19-year-old has thrived under Ralf Rangnick in 2021/22 and will have plenty to prove in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Poland.
Quoted by The Athletic, Sweden manager Janne Andersson said: "We have followed Anthony closely and he has made a positive impression both in the Under-21 national team and in the club team
"A fast and good deep lead player and a good finisher. We have had some contact recently and it will be fun to get him into our squad."
