Salah helps Egypt get the winner as they get one step closer to World Cup qualification

Egypt beat Senagal 1-0 in their 1st leg World Cup qualifying play-off game. Egypt went ahead with a Senegal own-goal but it was Salah's shot that rattled off the bar and deflected off a Senegalese defender into the goal.

Only one of the two nations will go to Qatar 2022 when they face off in the second leg in Senegal on 29th March. Egypt will be hoping to right the wrongs of their AFCON final loss to Senegal.

Egypt lost 4-2 on penalties against Senegal in the final that took place just a little over a month ago.
