After beating Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, Pep Guardiola surprisingly decided to talk about Liverpool.
The Spaniard said: "Hopefully, we can say we are a pain in the a** for Liverpool. They are the toughest opponent I have ever faced as a manager."
Monday, Jurgen Klopp responded to Guardiola as the 2021/22 Premier League title race gets down to the wire.
The German said: "I could say Manchester City are the toughest opponent I've ever had but it wasn't much easier when I faced Pep's Bayern Munich.
"I know what Pep means. We push each other to insane levels."
